Data Standards Authority

The Data Standards Authority (DSA) works with experts across the public sector, devolved administrations, industry and academia to understand interoperability problems that can be tackled by adopting common data standards. This page includes various resources for government data projects.

Office for National Statistics (ONS) Data Standards

These standards define how ONS carries out its statistical and business activities. This page includes examples of data standards for anyone working on data-related initiatives and projects, or who have an interest in the acquisition, management, provision and subsequent dissemination of data.

UK Geospatial Data Standards Register

The register entries are agreed ways of sharing and accessing geographic information. They help ensure that the data is findable, accessible, interoperable and re-usable (FAIR). The standards, in particular the GEMINI metadata standard, apply to most cases for geospatial data exchange and management.
